CE Regulations for Joinery.

EU Legislation has been in force since 1^st July 2013.

Pronto Joinery can CE Mark all external windows and doors in line with legislation.

Very few joinery companies are offering CE Marking, but Pronto Joinery have been pro-active in getting certified to give you peace of mind that your joinery is compliant with regulations.

CE marking is a key indicator of a product’s compliance with EU (European Union) legislation and enables the free movement of products within the European market. CE marking confirms that a product satisfies the legislative requirements, e.g. a harmonised level of safety, to be sold there, it means that Pronto Joinery has verified that the products complies with all the essential requirements, e.g. health and safety requirements, of the directive(s) or, if stipulated in the directive(s), had it examined by a notified conformity assessment body.

All CE marked products have their product data supplied in a prescribed “Declaration of Performance” (DoP) format, allowing for clear and easy comparisons to be made between similar products and ensuring the consumer can make an informed decision .

The DoP provides key information relating to the product’s performance that has been independently tested and verified by an EU notified body.

Each product that falls within these standards will also carry a label-either on the product itself or on its packaging- containing the CE mark logo and a number that identifies its corresponding DoP.

Pronto Joinery recommends leaving this label on your product. However, if you would prefer to remove it, you should download and keep the DoP .
